Kitty Genovese was stabbed to death during a 30 minute ordeal int he courtyard of her apartment complex. Countless people in the surrounding apartments were witness to her slaughter. But nobody called the police and nobody came down to help. Not even a pitiful yell out of a window to her murderer. Think this is brutal? We all do this everyday in more subtle ways.

Psychologists call it 'the bystander effect' - people think that since there are others around then someone else will help or maybe they're scared they'll look like a dork making a fuss in case nothing is really wrong. Well, fuck that! So we've evolved to have this horrible defect - fight it!

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out.
