1.
Dirt / black, I am promise of all things hated. Bloody / Idyllic, the promise of words of capital. Fear the marching but feed the divine and flee from me. Law, violence and love, farewelling.
2.
This is our day, our divine flood. It is gnashing and our faith is falling under. Jaws grind and lungs burst, all pound in ruin. (Hammered by desolation, encumbered by subtraction, Simultaneous nullification on both ends. what was once whole now splintered / paired by the separation. Redefined by a fresh incision). Desperation is our engine, the arching death.
3.
Old violent laws, young violent gods. Killers of love, takers of toll. Walking the bridge, haunting the coma-less holms.Yours; enfevered. Mine; inbedded in eponymy, heavens amps.
4.
Black spring, I shed its skin, the crows wheel in again and it feels like a year. But we, budding, push the gutters and soar forever the wrong way. Pounding our insides, punching the needles of no hope its coming, its coming still. Come toe the fault lines further beyond the banks. The canals are stepping and the cemetery is sloping us upright forever. Run to the razorwire and never tempt to satisfy / live for those lies that let you alight.
5.
Stray refuge, stay no flowers. Winds white and blue, seasonal shifters. You will find ends of it and a need to absolve it for this island. The sky is brighter much for the dust I’ve tramped skyward. Mud dust, mud dust, mud dust. And this breeds musts, a gather to spill blood. And this breeds musts, a mind prone to stray. And this breeds musts, a gather to spill blood. Far from refuge, a mind prone to stray. Left weathered; autumnal. Left weathered; autumnal
6.
No love, no loss, Know love, know loss. Pedant still, you shrug your face / the dormant disease permanently fixed, commonplace. No love, no loss. Know love, know loss. Gods kneel and devil’s fold at the edge of this, internal wander plagues minds.. Sanity. Soul drips, soul dripping. Return to soil.
7.
Too long to lap at the banks, those canals those at the top throw away. Clawing at the bottom feeds, the need to get in is everything. Found in the clubs / pubs fuelled.. spitting with lower tanks and writhing. The windows board up to hide it, high and running but a young Tom Robbins in a swan form rises. Punching away in dirty blonde drains.. Those banks still slope, high and running.
8.
Their love is laughing and their calendars hang dead. They can let go, open wide to climb that noose but since birth the fight of comas bear chains on our β€˜lids. Meditating in noise as luxury piles and pushes shores. Forever may they plunge and never repent, not heartened by the less.
9.
Been out on the rails, swinging off stands singing and staggering down that long plastic hallway. Reach out to make a living, this is the passover, make a killing. If this ends we won’t die, we will be dragged down by the weight of sound.

about

'Farewell All Joy' is an intense journey that brings to ferocious light the uglier sides of human experience. IDYLLS balance astounding technical precision and an unbridled punishment across all instruments with a gnashing, multi-faceted vocal input. The 10 harrowing tracks warp 20 minutes through an insurmountable passage of time, with absolutely maniacal arrangements, grinding intensity, and sudden yet progressive drops in mood as key components.
